ABOUT US
Cups of Joy was lovingly established in December 2015, driven by a heartfelt mission to spread warmth and joy to our brave deployed US Soldiers during the holiday season. As a dedicated non-profit organization, we proudly send donated travel mugs from our local school to these heroic individuals, offering them a comforting touch of home.
The inspiration for Cups of Joy came from a deeply personal experience. As a veteran, I felt a profound desire to give back to my fellow service members. During my own deployment, I received a care package from my office that included a travel mug. This simple, thoughtful gift quickly became one of my most cherished items. It reminded me of my favorite mug back home and became a source of daily comfort. Each morning, I would visit the dining facility, make a cup of tea in my special mug, and enjoy a moment of normalcy amidst the challenges of deployment. The mug also attracted many compliments from my fellow troops, creating small but meaningful connections.
Upon returning home, I knew I wanted to provide the same experience for other soldiers. I reached out to my son's local elementary school, connected with his teacher, and together we brought Cups of Joy to life. Our organization thrives on the support and generosity of our community, and we are committed to bringing smiles and a sense of home to our deployed troops, one travel mug at a time.
OUR MISSION
Cups of Joy Inc, mission is rooted in a deep sense of care and determination. We strive to bring moments of warmth and joy to US Soldiers who are serving our country far from their families during the holiday season. Through the simple gift of a travel mug, we aim to provide a comforting reminder of home and a heartfelt connection to the gratitude and support of those they protect.
OUR WORK
Cups of Joy is a non-profit organization that sends donated travel mugs to our deployed US Soldier during the holiday season. Each student writes a special note which is placed in the mugs. We want to bring a smile to all our brave men and women and let them know that the citizen of this country is very grateful for their service, especially during the holidays. Our mugs have been sent to Afganistan, Kuwait, and Africa to name a few. We hope to increase the number of school participation and locations. ​
